At FIBA 2021, you can enjoy a lot of content from home!

This year, apart from discovering the best programming in theaters and outdoor spaces of the City, woy can enjoy virtual activities from any part of the world. Find out about the program and book your tickets!

Like most of our lives today, FIBA 2021 is hybrid, analog and digital. The Festival’s program has presential theatrical proposals at theaters and outdoor spaces, but it also has lots of audiovisual content, which are broadcast through the streaming platform Vivamos Cultura along with special activities through Zoom and Google Meet. In virtual mode with the ITALIA XXI series and in collaboration with Teatro Coliseo and Istituto Italiano di Cultura, two encounters will take place through the latter’s YouTube Channel. The first is an encounter between Emanuele Sinisi, creator of the #PandemicTheatre Device and Argentinian and international artists that make use of it at FIBA for the staging of their plays. (Friday 2/26, after the end of the performance). The second is a talk with renowned Italian artist Antonio Latella about his play Santa Estasi (Saturday 2/27 - 7 pm). At Vivamos Cultura you can access many of the plays shown at the Festival, in an online format, as well as many videos that aim to enrich the works and the material shown, such as the Interview Series: The Written Voice, which features interviews to different authors of theater produced by Cuarenteatro in collaboration with Todo Teatro and the Report about non-official dance in the City of Buenos Aires 2019/2020 presented by PRODANZA.

In turn, international artists and programmers are part of virtual discussion groups about current challenges, the future of the performing arts and internationalization, among other subjects. At Teatro Picadero the encounter Re-imagining the future, re-inventing international collaborations: challenges and strategies (Friday 3/5 from 11 am to 1 pm), with French-Austrian programmer Lise Lendais (co-director of LE STUDIO Film und Bühne) and the participation of representatives from international institutions such as the British Council, Pro Helvetia, the Institut Français d’Argentine and the Austrian Embassy in Buenos Aires, among others.
