The City of Buenos Aires has developed a model of international insertion according to the new global challenges. During the last decades, bilateral relations are a fundamental instrument of the City's policy of internationalization and development.

We work with international collaboration processes based on direct relationships between cities. The city-to-city interaction favors the meeting of solutions to common challenges through cooperation and the exchange of experiences.

The City's internationalization policy focuses on five geographical areas of strategic interest: Latin America and the Caribbean; North America-Europe; Pacific Asia; and Middle East / Africa. In each of these large areas, political, economic, cultural and tourist links were created between Buenos Aires and the main global cities.
